10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
In the very busyness of our days, we may struggle to be still. It is important to choose a specific time of day, to be still and reconnect with God. For many people, this is as soon as they rise in the morning. They will take out their Bibles and learn about God. Some will go outside and enjoy the stillness of the morning. It is easier to think about God in the stillness before the craziness of the day begins. For some, especially those with little ones, their be still time is nap time or late at night when their children are sleeping. Others may even wait until their spouse is sleeping so they may have total silence with God. I know I fall short in making time for God, the most high. It is something I am working on, being intentional how I spend my time. I do read the bible with my children daily, I still need a separate intentional time put aside for my Heavenly Father. There are days when I have short discussions, prayers with God but I need to set aside a larger chunk of my day.
